Born in Santa Fe beneath the beauty of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Gaelen Casey would follow his heart and life path creating beautiful images of his surroundings. The Los Angeles based photographer's fascination with the world around him inspired Gaelen's interest with the art of photography very early in life.

Always with a camera in hand, Gaelen constantly observed the world around him through the eye of a lens. Completing his early education, he headed West on 1-40, the famous Route 66 of yesteryear, to California to seek specialized training in his chosen profession. He traveled to where he would learn the technical intricacies of the camera while enhancing his innate talent in Santa Barbara at the Brooks Institute of Photography. He completed his studies graduating in 1999 with a degree in Fine Arts.

Now possessing the technical skill and refined sense of creativity and knowledge, he eagerly headed to Los Angeles to engage his creative dream. Arriving in LA, he entered the world of commercial magazine photography. His talent and creative imagery became much sought after. His images subtly captured and directly expanded the inert beauty of the various objects in his camera lens whether it be people, lifestyles, food stills, product photography or architectural and interior design images.

Understanding that every object and venue requires its own specialized style, the well rounded and creative portfolio of his work demonstrates the excellent result he achieves. Never letting himself submit to any challenge, his discerning eye has brought forth the beauty and elegance of expression to the finest dining venues, the trendy and hottest clubs as well as some of the finest hostelries such as Intercontinental Hotels. Gaelen has developed a superb ability to image the objects of his photography with a harmonious arrangement of elements within a whole for a reciprocal balance of their being.

Gaelen's photography is displayed regularly in Front Desk and Angeleno Magazine. His work has also appeared in Elle Magazine, In Style Magazine, LA Times, Food & Wine Magazine, as well as many periodicals and music publications.
